2026 Onjuku Town Waterpark Full-Day Course
This is a one-day course centered on 'Onjuku Town Waterpark' (御宿町営ウォーターパーク) in Onjuku, Isumi District, Chiba Prefecture, open from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, August 31, 2026. With three types of water slides, a lazy river where you drift along on a float, and a shallow kids' pool where little ones can play safely, it's more full-featured than you'd expect from a town-run facility. In the town of Onjuku, known for its beach, enjoy a full day of water play that's different from the sea. In the morning, visit the 'Tsuki no Sabaku Memorial Museum' (月の沙漠記念館), standing near Onjuku Beach, known as the setting of the children's song 'Tsuki no Sabaku' (Moon over the Desert), and take in the seaside scenery famous for its dunes and camel statues. Next, take in a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean from the hilltop of 'Mexico Memorial Park' (メキシコ記念公園), which tells the history of a Mexican ship's shipwreck and rescue during the Meiji era. From the afternoon, enter Onjuku Town Waterpark and play to your heart's content on the slides and lazy river until evening. The sea breeze of Sotobo, and a pool the whole family can enjoy together -- spend a day that truly captures summer in Sotobo.
