2026 Nakayama Park Mini Pool (中山公園ミニプール): A Full Day of Fun
This full-day course centers on the Nakayama Park Mini Pool (中山公園ミニプール), open from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, August 31, 2026 (closed every Friday, but open on July 24 and August 7). The venue is Nakayama Park (中山公園) in Ichikawa City. The mini pool inside the park is designed for children from toddlers to around third grade, making it just the right size for a first water-play experience or pool debut. There is no large slide, but that means a calmer flow of people, giving parents peace of mind as they keep an eye on their little ones. In the morning, visit Hokekyoji Temple (法華経寺), the symbol of the Nakayama area. The spacious grounds, lined with a five-story pagoda and the Soshido Hall, are well worth the walk, and the old temple-town atmosphere along the approach adds to the experience. Next, spend a quiet moment immersed in the world of one of Japan's leading painters at the Ichikawa City Higashiyama Kaii Memorial Museum (市川市東山魁夷記念館). The air-conditioned building is also a perfect place to cool off in summer. This calm, Ichikawa-style course brings together history, art, and water play in a single day.
Schedule
A grand Nakayama temple with a five-story pagoda and the Soshido Hall, enjoy the old temple-town approach too
Step into a quiet world of blue and green paintings, cool off indoors in the air conditioning
