2026 Funabashi City Sports Park Pool: A Full-Day Course
This one-day course centers on Funabashi City Sports Park Pool in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, open from Monday, July 20 (national holiday) through Sunday, September 6, 2026. Its facilities stand out for their sheer variety: a 50m pool, a 25m pool, a lazy river pool, a children's pool, and a kiddie pool, plus a straight slide pool, a spinning slide pool, a Tarzan rope pool, a dome-shaped slide pool, and even a wave pool. Few public facilities offer this many kinds of pools. In the morning, visit Ofu Shrine, affectionately known as Funabashi Daijingu, and take in the view of the city from the hilltop where the Tomyodai tower stands. After that, cool off at LaLaport TOKYO-BAY for lunch and shopping, then head to the Sports Park Pool in the afternoon. The plan takes in three sides of Funabashi in a single day: a shrine, a major shopping complex, and a full-scale leisure pool. It is easy to reach from any of the JR, Tobu, or Keisei lines, making it well suited to a day trip from central Tokyo.
