2026 Motoyawata Park Mini Pool Full-Day Course
Open from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, August 31, 2026, this full-day course centers on Ichikawa City's Motoyawata Park Mini Pool. Located inside the park, the mini pool is for children from toddlers to third grade, making it perfect for kids trying water play for the first time or those who are still a little unsure about bigger pools. Being in a park right in town, its casual charm means you can drop by on a whim. In the morning, start at the Ichikawa City Zoological and Botanical Garden. This small zoo, home to red pandas and mini pigs, has a hands-on corner that's hugely popular with children. Next, move on to Katsushika Hachimangu Shrine, known as the guardian shrine of the old Shimosa Province, and cool off beneath the Senbon Icho, a ginkgo tree said to be a thousand years old. Once past midday, head to the Motoyawata Park Mini Pool to enjoy an afternoon of water play. All three spots are within Ichikawa City and close to JR Motoyawata Station and Keisei Yawata Station, so getting around by train is easy. It's a relaxed summer day that's manageable even with small children in tow.
