2026 Kohisa Children's Pool Full-Day Course
This is a one-day course in Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, centered on Kohisa Children's Pool (恒久児童プール), which is open from Thursday, July 23 to Monday, August 24, 2026. Since it operates only in the morning, from 10:00 to 12:00, the plan has you starting out early, touring the city while it's still cool, and finishing up at the pool. First, visit Miyazaki Jingu Shrine (宮崎神宮), a leading shrine in Miyazaki dedicated to Emperor Jinmu; the morning air in the forested grounds is cool and pleasant to walk through. Next, head to the promenade at Tachibana Park (橘公園), which faces the Oyodo River (大淀川). Strolling beneath the palm-lined path while catching the river breeze lets you feel the tropical character that is so distinctly Miyazaki. Then, from 10 o'clock, head to Kohisa Children's Pool. Measuring 10m by 20m with depths of 30cm and 50cm, it's a reassuring depth where even small children can stand — and it's free to use. The pool is closed on Wednesdays and from August 13 to 15. Making the most of its morning-only hours, this family-friendly summer outing lets you finish your water play before the heat becomes intense.
Schedule
Walk the approach path enveloped in deep tree cover in the morning
Stroll the palm-lined path along the Oyodo River for a tropical feel
A shallow children's pool with depths of 30cm and 50cm — free to use
