2026 Full-Day Course Centered on Imoyama Park Pool (イモ山公園プール)
This is a one-day course centered on Imoyama Park Pool (イモ山公園プール) in Ikoma City, Nara Prefecture, open from Monday, July 20 to Monday, August 31, 2026. The venue is Imoyama Park (イモ山公園) in Ikoma City. It's a municipal pool open only during summer, with changing lockers fully available. Admission is free for residents of the city or those who commute to work / school (or attend nursery) within the city; others pay an out-of-city rate. In the morning, head to Hozan-ji Temple (宝山寺), on the slope of Mount Ikoma. Known affectionately as Ikoma Shoten (生駒聖天), this temple has a unique presence, with an approach lined with stone lanterns on both sides of the stone steps, and temple grounds overlooking Hannya-kutsu (般若窟), a cave in the rock face. After that, have lunch and shop at Belle Terrasse Ikoma (ベルテラスいこま) in front of Ikoma Station. Part of what makes Ikoma interesting is that a mountain sacred site and a modern station-front complex sit right next to each other, within walking distance of Kintetsu Ikoma Station. It's also easily reachable in a short time from both Osaka and central Nara, making it a destination you can visit on a whim.
Schedule
