2026 Kibogaoka Children's Pool (希望ケ丘児童プール) Full-Day Course
This full-day course centers on Kibogaoka Children's Pool (希望ケ丘児童プール), open only in the morning from 10:00 to 12:00, from Thursday, July 23 to Monday, August 24, 2026 (closed Wednesdays and August 13-15). The venue is in Miyazaki City. It's a 10m x 20m children's pool with depths of 30cm and 50cm, and admission is free. It's shallow enough for small children to stand and play on their own feet, making it perfect for a first water-play experience or pool debut. To match the pool's feature of being open for only two hours in the morning, this course is built around visiting nearby historic sites in the early morning and entering the pool right when it opens at 10 a.m. First, head to Ikime Shrine (生目神社), known as the shrine of the god of eyesight. Its tree-lined stone steps have refreshing morning air, making for a cool walk even in summer. Next, extend your trip to the Ikime Kofun Cluster (生目古墳群), and take a moment to imagine Miyazaki's ancient past while viewing the burial mounds lined up on the hills. It's a half-day course friendly to families with small children, combining a historical morning with water play.
