2026 Atoe Children's Pool Full-Day Course
This is a morning course centered on Atoe Children's Pool (跡江児童プール) in Miyazaki City, open from Thursday, July 23 to Monday, August 24, 2026. Opening hours are 10:00 to 12:00, closed on Wednesdays, and it remains open during the Obon period. The pool measures 10m by 20m with two depth levels, 30cm and 50cm, designed gently so small children can stand and play on their own feet. Admission is free, and parking is available for 24 vehicles (including 3 spaces for the disabled). Since the pool is only open in the morning, it's recommended to get moving early on this day. Start by visiting Ikime Shrine (生目神社), which draws devotion as the deity of eyesight. Take in the crisp morning air within the cedar-wrapped shrine grounds. Next, move on to Ikime Kofun Cluster (生目古墳群), designated a national historic site, and enjoy the burial mounds lined up on the hilltop along with the view of the Oyodo River basin. Then head to Atoe Children's Pool from 10 o'clock. With a manageable schedule, this course makes for a fulfilling summer morning with small children.
