2026 Innoshima Amenity Pool: A Full Day of Fun
This full-day course centers on the Innoshima Amenity Pool (因島アメニティプール) in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, open from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 23, 2026. Despite being located on an island along the Shimanami Kaido, this outdoor pool is fully equipped with a water slide, a ramp slide, a rubber play equipment zone, fountains, and a toddler pool. What is more, Shimanami Beach (しまなみビーチ) lies right in front of it, letting you enjoy the ocean and water play at the same time. Admission is 500 yen for adults, 400 yen for junior/senior high school students, 300 yen for elementary school students, and free for preschoolers, with a 20% discount for entry after 3 p.m. In the morning, visit Innoshima Suigunjo (因島水軍城), which tells the history of the Murakami Suigun naval forces, then climb Mt. Shirataki (白滝山), which overlooks the Seto Inland Sea, to enjoy the summit's Gohyaku Rakan stone statues and a spectacular view of the islands. From noon, head to the Innoshima Amenity Pool. The changing rooms have 270 lockers, and rented tents are also available, so you can play without worrying about your belongings or where to rest. It is a summer day spent surrounded by the sea, in true Shimanami style.
