2026 Oyama Yuen Harvest Walk (おやまゆうえんハーヴェストウォーク) Summer Pool Full-Day Course
A one-day course centered on the Oyama Yuen Harvest Walk (おやまゆうえんハーヴェストウォーク) Summer Pool in Oyama City, open only for nine days, from Saturday, August 8 to Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 10:00 to 17:00. The pool features water slides, a slide-equipped pool, and a mini pool for small children, plus an on-site shop so you don't need to worry about food. Admission is 700 yen, discounted to 500 yen with LINE registration, and free for children age 2 and under. Since it only opens for this limited period around Obon, it's a destination well worth fitting into your schedule if the dates line up. In the morning, start at Shiroyama Park, the site of Gion Castle, once the residence of the Oyama clan, where you can walk grounds that still retain their earthworks and moat. The park is also known as the site of the Oyama Council of War, the military conference held on the way to the Battle of Sekigahara. Next, head to Oyama Sogo Park along the Omoi River, which has spacious lawns and a waterside plaza — an ideal place for children to run around. Once you're past lunchtime, move on to the pool and enjoy water play until evening. Since the last admission is at 16:00, be sure to arrive with plenty of time to spare.
