2026 Sano City Athletic Park Pool Full-Day Course
This is a one-day course centered on the Sano City Athletic Park Pool in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture, open from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM from Tuesday, July 21 to Monday, August 31, 2026. It has a lazy river, a kiddie pool, and a multipurpose pool, along with a rest area, food court, shop, coin lockers, and hot-water showers. Admission is surprisingly affordable for the facilities offered: 330 yen for ages 15 and up (excluding junior high school students), 110 yen for junior high school age and under (excluding under age 4), and free for under age 4. In the morning, first visit Sano Yakuyoke Daishi and take in the vermilion-lacquered main hall and the bell tower on the grounds. Next, head over to Izuruhara Benten Pond, and look up at the clear pond filled with spring water selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Famous Waters, along with the vermilion shrine of Isoyama Benzaiten jutting out over the water's surface. Once past noon, head to the Sano City Athletic Park Pool. Let yourself drift in the lazy river and enjoy the water fully until evening.
