2026 Nango Park Pool Full-Day Course
This one-day course centers on Nango Park Pool in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, which operates from Monday, July 20 through Monday, August 31, 2026. It runs on a two-session system, 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm, with a break from 12pm-1pm. It has a 25m pool and a children's pool, with admission of 490 yen for adults and 330 yen for junior high schoolers and younger, those 65 and older, and visitors with disabilities. In the morning, visit Ishiyama-dera Temple, famed as a pilgrimage site of the Saigoku Sanjusansho (33 Kannon temples). The main hall stands atop a mass of wollastonite boulders, a natural monument, and the tree-covered grounds feel cool even in midsummer. Next, head to Nango Fisheries Center, where you can experience the bounty of the Seta River through fishing ponds and catching fish bare-handed. After lunch, head to the 1pm afternoon session of Nango Park Pool, and enjoy water play until closing time at 4pm. A very Otsu day, tracing nature and history along the Seta River before getting into the water.
