2026 Full-Day Course: Michi-no-Eki Kahoku Oguri-go Water Park

This one-day course centers on the Michi-no-Eki Kahoku Oguri-go Water Park in Yamaga City, open from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 23, 2026, plus Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30. Its biggest feature is an outdoor groundwater-fed pool with three different depths (30cm, 80cm, and 3m). Kids just starting to play in water can use the 30cm shallow area, those who can swim can use the 80cm pool, and the 3-meter deep pool has a diving platform, plus a slide and a submarine-shaped play structure. Since you can choose an area to match age and swimming ability, everyone in the family can enjoy themselves even if siblings differ in age. Changing rooms and showers are fully equipped, and small coin lockers plus rental of the required swim caps are available, so you can come nearly empty-handed. In the morning, experience the Meiji-era theater space at the playhouse Yachiyoza, then look up at Fudoiwa, Yamaga's symbolic rock formation, before heading to the pool past midday. A Yamaga-style summer day made pleasant by the cool refreshment of groundwater.
