2026 Full-Day Course: Kurume Citizens' Lazy River Pool
This one-day course centers on the Kurume Citizens' Lazy River Pool in Chuo Park, Kurume City, open from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 23, 2026, plus Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30 (closed August 24-28). True to its name, the star attraction is the lazy river pool: it's fun just floating along with the current, and its appeal is that kids who aren't strong swimmers and little ones alike can spend time together in the same spot. Admission is 800 yen for high school students and up, 410 yen for junior high and elementary school students, and 310 yen for young children (age 4 and up). Located inside a park in the city center, it's easy to reach by car or by train. In the morning, take it easy at Ishibashi Cultural Center with its beautiful garden and art museum, then meet the birds and animals at the Kurume City Bird Center in the same Chuo Park, before heading to the pool past midday. With so little travel needed, the day's route stays wonderfully simple, which families will appreciate.
