2026 Kodama no Mori Water-Play Pool Full-Day Course
This is a one-day course centered on the Kodama no Mori Water-Play Pool (こだまの森 親水プール) in Kodama no Mori, Yabuhara Highlands, Kiso Village, Nagano Prefecture. It usually operates from mid-July to late August, and in 2026 it opens on Saturday, July 18. This water-play pool sits on a highland over 1,000 meters above sea level, with water divided into three depths -- 1m, 60cm, and 40cm -- and floats are allowed. Half-day admission is 700 yen for adults (high school age and up) and 400 yen for children (junior high school age and under). Because of the high elevation, the air stays cool even in midsummer, offering a comfort completely different from city pools. In the morning, start at Michi-no-Eki Kisogawa Genryu no Sato Kisomura (道の駅木曽川源流の里きそむら), lined with mountain produce fitting for a village at the source of the Kiso River. Next, venture out to Oku-Kiso Lake (奥木曽湖), formed by the Misogawa Dam, and take in the quiet lake scenery surrounded by mountains. After midday, move to Kodama no Mori for water play at the highland pool until evening. A cool and luxurious day wrapped in the nature of Kiso.
