2026 Takamatsu City Kamesui Sports Center Pool One-Day Course
This one-day course centers on Takamatsu City's 'Takamatsu City Kamesui Sports Center Pool.' In 2026 it's open from Monday, July 20 to Monday, August 31, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, closed every Tuesday (except when it falls on a holiday). It has an outdoor 25-meter, 8-lane pool and a 0.4-meter-deep children's unit pool, so older kids can practice swimming while little ones get used to the water in the shallows — activities that suit each age. The venue sits at the foot of Goshikidai, a plateau jutting into the Seto Inland Sea. In the morning, follow the Shikoku pilgrimage temples scattered across Goshikidai. First is Shiromine-ji Temple, home to the mausoleum of Emperor Sutoku. The grounds, surrounded by deep woods, stay cool and are pleasant to walk even at the height of summer. Next comes Negoro-ji Temple, which carries the legend of the ushioni (ox-demon). This ancient temple leaves a strong impression with its long stone stairway and moss-covered approach. Past noon, move to Kamesui Sports Center and enjoy water play until evening. Admission is 410 yen for adults, 270 yen for junior high and high school students, 200 yen for children, and free for children under 3.
