2026 Miyagase Lakeside Park Autumn Leaves Full-Day Course

Spend a day fully enjoying both the lake and the autumn leaves at the shore of Miyagase Lake (宮ヶ瀬湖), Kanagawa's water reservoir. The leaves at Miyagase Lakeside Park (宮ヶ瀬湖畔園地) are typically at their best from mid to late November. The park has many broadleaf trees, maples included, creating a gradient of autumn foliage along the lakeshore. Because a variety of tree species turn color, not just maples and ginkgos, you can enjoy overlapping layers of red, orange, and yellow. In the morning, play to your heart's content at Kanagawa Prefectural Aikawa Park (県立あいかわ公園) downstream of the dam and get an up-close look at the impressive Miyagase Dam (宮ヶ瀬ダム). In the afternoon, move on to the lakeside park to take a leisurely stroll across the wide lawn and the autumn-colored hills.
