2026 Full-Day Course: Autumn Leaves at Kanagawa Prefectural Hadano Togawa Park (県立秦野戸川公園)
Spend a day enjoying the mountain scenery and the autumn colors around a suspension bridge at Kanagawa Prefectural Hadano Togawa Park (県立秦野戸川公園), the gateway to the Tanzawa mountains. The best viewing is typically from mid-November to mid-December. Against the backdrop of the Tanzawa Omote-One ridge, the maples and poplars in the park turn color, and the park's signature ‘Kaze no Tsuribashi’ (Wind Suspension Bridge) becomes a stunning spot for viewing the leaves. Admission is free (parking is ¥100 for up to 2 hours for regular cars, free for the first 30 minutes). In 2025, an autumn-leaves illumination (November 22–24, from 16:00, around the Wind Suspension Bridge and tea house) and a mini concert at the tea house were also held (the 2026 schedule has not yet been announced — please check the official website before heading out). This course visits a famous shrine and a large direct-sales market in the morning, then lets you soak up autumn fully at the park in the afternoon.
