2026 Full-Day Autumn Leaves Course at Kanagawa Prefectural Nanasawa Forest Park
Spend a day enjoying the autumn foliage of the satoyama countryside at Kanagawa Prefectural Nanasawa Forest Park, spread out at the foot of the Tanzawa mountains in Nanasawa, Atsugi City. The leaves are usually at their best from mid-November to early December. Maples are the main attraction, and the area around the observation building 'Sunso-tei' is one of the park's most beautiful autumn-color spots. From 'Nanasawa no Oka' (Nanasawa Hill), you can take in a panoramic view of the colored mountains, including Kanegatake and Oyama. Admission to the park is free, and you're welcome to stroll freely from sunrise to sunset. In the morning, stop by the Kanagawa Prefectural Nature Conservation Center next to the park to learn about the nature of Tanzawa before setting off on your hill walk. With learning, spectacular views, and autumn colors all in one, this course is perfect for an outdoor autumn outing.
