2026 Autumn Leaves at Kanagawa Prefectural Chigasaki Satoyama Park: A Full-Day Course

This is a day to savor autumn at Kanagawa Prefectural Chigasaki Satoyama Park, where the entire satoyama landscape of terraced rice paddies and coppice woods turns red and yellow. The leaves are typically at their best from late November to mid-December. Admission is free, and parking is available. In the morning, stop by the grounds of Kumazawa Brewery, the only sake brewery in the Shonan area, for a break with freshly baked bread from the brewery's own bakery. In the afternoon, move on to Satoyama Park and stroll leisurely along the woodland paths and around the terraced rice paddies, taking in the autumn colors unique to a satoyama landscape. With a spacious lawn and playground equipment as well, this course lets you enjoy both a foliage walk and outdoor play in a single day, making it a great fit for families with children.
