2026 Hakone Gora Park Autumn Leaves Full-Day Course
Savor a day of autumn leaves in Hakone at Hakone Gora Park (箱根強羅公園), Japan's first French formal garden. The Gora area's leaves are typically at their best from mid to late November. The autumn foliage around the fountain is a well-known highlight, and at the Rose Garden you can enjoy autumn roses and fall colors at the same time. The tea house Hakuundo Chaen (白雲洞茶苑), wrapped in autumn leaves, is also a must-see. Admission is 650 yen for adults, free for elementary school students and younger. In the morning, take the Hakone Tozan Railway one stop before Gora to the Hakone Open-Air Museum (彫刻の森美術館). This museum, with sculptures arranged across a spacious outdoor space, also has exhibits kids can physically play on, making it a classic choice for families. In the afternoon, move on to Gora Park to leisurely enjoy the fountain and autumn-colored garden. This course lets you enjoy both art and garden in one autumn day.
