2026 Kanazawa Natural Park (金沢自然公園) and Kanazawa Zoo (金沢動物園) Autumn Leaves: A Full-Day Course
Spend a day meeting autumn leaves and animals at Kanazawa Natural Park (金沢自然公園), which spreads across a hill in Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama. Inside the park, over 400 trees, including ginkgo, maple varieties, and Chinese tallow, turn color one after another, and the viewing season, typically running from mid-November to mid-December, is relatively long, which is part of the appeal. Admission to Kanazawa Zoo (金沢動物園) is 500 yen for adults, 300 yen for high school students, 200 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and free for preschoolers; on Saturdays, high schoolers and younger get in free with a student ID. The Nonohana-kan (ののはな館) nature house is free to enter. In the morning, walk from Kanazawa-Bunko Station to Shomyoji Temple (称名寺), an ancient temple linked to the Hojo clan. After strolling through the Pure Land-style garden with its vermilion bridge, spend the afternoon fully enjoying the autumn leaves and animals at the hilltop park.
