2026 Koma Mountain Park & Shonan-daira Full-Day Autumn Leaves Course

Spend a day enjoying an autumn-foliage hike and a grand panorama at Koma Mountain Park (高麗山公園), which spans Oiso and Hiratsuka. On the hilly hiking course leading from Oiso Station, you can enjoy Japanese maple foliage during the autumn coloring season. Admission is free, and the summit area, the Shonan-daira rest house, and the observation deck area are open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The starting point is Takaku Shrine (高来神社), nestled at the foot of Mt. Koma. From there, the trail continues, and choosing the gentle Onna-zaka makes for an easier climb even for families. Follow the ridge to reach Shonan-daira, where views await of Sagami Bay, Enoshima, and on clear days even Mt. Fuji. This course lets you experience on foot the autumn of Mt. Koma, a scene once depicted in ukiyo-e woodblock prints.
