2026 Yokohama Illuminated 〈Yoru no Yo〉: A Full One-Day Course

A day centered on the Shinko area to enjoy 'Yokohama Illuminated at Night 〈Yoru no Yo〉' (夜にあらわれる光の横浜〈ヨルノヨ〉), where the entire waterfront of central Yokohama becomes a stage of light. The previous year (2025), it ran from December 4 to December 30, from 17:00 to 21:05, with a five-minute show in which the city's buildings and historic structures lit up in sync with music. The 2026-27 season schedule has not yet been announced, so please check the official website before you go. Admission is free. Enjoy the experience at the Cup Noodles Museum in the early afternoon, stroll through the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, and then head to the Shinko Central Plaza area in the evening. Once the lights switch on, a completely different, illuminated Yokohama appears from the daytime scene. The waterfront gets cold in winter, so be sure to dress warmly.
