2026 KAKIO LOVE LIGHTS (Kakio Illumination) Full-Day Course

Spend a day enjoying KAKIO LOVE LIGHTS, a neighborhood-wide illumination event held by the Kakio Chuo Shopping Association around the south exit of Odakyu Line's Kakio Station. It is typically held from mid-December to around the end of January (in the 2024 season it ran from December 14 to January 31). The dates and lighting hours for the 2026-27 season have not yet been announced, so please check the shopping association's official website before heading out. During the day, play to your heart's content at the spacious Ozenji Furusato Park in Asao Ward, and in the afternoon, visit Jokeiji Temple, known as the 'Hydrangea Temple of Kakio,' to see its humorous rakan statues. As evening falls, head back to the area in front of Kakio Station, where the familiar shopping street transforms into a street of light. Since the course wraps up right by the station, it's manageable even with young children. Winter evenings can be cold, so be sure to dress warmly.
