This day centers on the Yume Ooka Winter Illumination (ゆめおおおかウィンターイルミネーション), where the Kamakura Kaido (鎌倉街道) street in front of Kamiooka Station (上大岡駅) is wrapped in golden light. It typically runs from early November to mid-February (last year it ran November 1, 2025 to February 14, 2026; the 2026 schedule has not yet been announced, so please check the official website). In the early afternoon, enjoy some free play at the spacious Kurogi Park (久良岐公園), reachable by bus from the station, then head back to the station to rest at Keikyu Department Store (京急百貨店) and Wing Kamiooka (ウィング上大岡). As the sun sets, step out in front of the station and the roadside trees along the street light up in gold, transforming the familiar station front into a soft path of light. Since it is a street illumination, viewing is free and open, and it pairs easily with shopping or dinner. With everything just steps from the station, it is a light and easy winter outing.
