2026 Christmas Tree (Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel): A Full-Day Course

Every winter, a large Christmas tree appears in the first-floor atrium lobby of the Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel (ヨコハマ グランド インターコンチネンタル ホテル), the sail-shaped symbol of Minato Mirai (みなとみらい). It is typically held from mid-November to late December; in the previous year it ran from November 14 to December 26, 2025 (the 2026 schedule has not yet been announced, so please check the official website before heading out). Viewing the lobby is free, so you can drop by casually even if you are not staying at the hotel. In the early afternoon, enjoy making your own original Cup Noodles at the Cup Noodles Museum (カップヌードルミュージアム), then take a walk through the seaside Rinko Park (臨港パーク) before heading to the hotel's tree in the evening. The hotel's elegant decorations make a perfect finishing touch for family photos. The winter sea breeze gets cold, so please dress warmly before heading out.
