2026 Terrace Mall Shonan Illumination: A Full Day of Fun

This is a day that combines the winter illuminations lighting up Terrace Mall Shonan, a large commercial facility directly connected to JR Tsujido Station, with playtime at a seaside park typical of Shonan. The lights typically run for a long stretch from early November to mid-February, and last year they ran from November 5, 2025 to February 15, 2026. Admission is free (the 2026-27 schedule has not yet been announced, so please check the official website before you go). In the early afternoon, play to your heart's content on the large lawn at Tsujido Coastal Park, then enjoy the vehicle displays at the park's Traffic Exhibition Hall, before heading to the mall directly connected to the station in the evening. As the lights come on, the plaza and tree-lined walkways are wrapped in light, and you can enjoy them along with shopping and dinner. The sea breeze turns cold after sunset in winter Shonan, so don't forget to dress warmly.
