2026 Yokohama Illumination Nishiguchi: A Full Day at Yokohama Illumina Square

A day to enjoy 'Yokohama Illumination Nishiguchi' (ヨコハマイルミネーションニシグチ), which lights up the area around Yokohama Station's west exit. Centered on 'Yokohama Illumina Square' (ヨコハマイルミナスクエア) at the Central West Exit plaza, the light displays extend to the South West Exit (Sotetsu Exit) (みなみ西口(相鉄口)) and the riverside area. Last year it ran from November 12, 2025 to February 14, 2026, with free admission. The 2026-27 schedule has not yet been announced, so please check official tourism information before heading out. In the early afternoon, take a break amid greenery and sculptures at 'Joinus no Mori Sculpture Park' (ジョイナスの森彫刻公園) on the rooftop of Sotetsu Joinus, then enjoy shopping and a snack break at Sotetsu Joinus, directly connected to the station. In the evening, head to the west exit plaza in time for the lights to turn on. This is a station-centered course where a plaza of lights spreads out right outside the station, making it easy to navigate even on rainy days. Winter evenings get cold, so don't forget to dress warmly.
