2026 Odawara Castle Keep Light-Up Full-Day Course

This is a day for enjoying the illuminated Odawara Castle keep rising against the night sky. The keep's permanent light-up runs every day year-round from sunset until 9:00 pm, so in winter you can view it from early evening (whether the 2026-27 season's special winter illumination, the 'Winter Cherry Blossom Illumination,' will be held has not been confirmed, so please check the official website). In the early afternoon, head to MINAKA Odawara, directly connected to Odawara Station. The 14th-floor observation foot-bath garden is free to use, and you can take a break in a natural hot-spring foot bath while looking out over the sea and Odawara Castle. Foot bath hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Next, enjoy old-fashioned rides such as the mini train (80 yen) at the children's amusement park in Odawara Castle Ruins Park, then head to Honmaru Plaza in time for sunset. The white castle keep floating in light looks completely different from its daytime appearance and is truly striking. Evenings get cold in winter, so please dress warmly before heading out.
