2026 Atsugi Central Park Winter Illumination Park of Light: A Full-Day Course

A day to enjoy the Winter Illumination Park of Light at Atsugi Central Park, within walking distance of Honatsugi Station. It's typically held from late November to mid-January each year (last year: November 22, 2025 to January 12, 2026; the schedule and lighting hours for the 2026-27 season have not yet been announced, so please check the official website before you go). In the early afternoon, visit the Kanagawa Institute of Technology Atsugi City Children's Science Museum on the 7th floor of Atsugi City Plaza in front of the station. The exhibit hall is free to enter, and the planetarium (200 yen for adults, 50 yen up through junior high school) is also easy to enjoy. In the evening, move to Atsugi Central Park to watch the park become wrapped in light as it lights up. Since it's a park right in the middle of town, it's also easy to combine with shopping and dinner. Winter evenings get cold, so please dress warmly before heading out.
