2026 Higashi-Zushi Illumination - Full-Day Course

Spend a day enjoying the 'Higashi-Zushi Illumination,' which wraps the Higashi-Zushi Fureai Plaza right next to JR Higashi-Zushi Station in light, combined with a countryside stroll through Zushi. It is typically held from mid-December to mid-January (the 2025-26 season ran from December 19 to January 17); the 2026-27 schedule has not yet been announced, so please check the official website before heading out. Viewing is free. In the early afternoon, walk along the Omotesando approach from Higashi-Zushi Station to the historic temple Jinmuji, enjoying a mini-hike through the deep-green approach. If the opening days line up, stop by Ikego Forest Nature Park as well, then head back to the station in the evening to wait for the lights to turn on. Since the venue is right next to the station, getting home is easy even with small children. Winter evenings turn cold, so be sure to dress warmly.
