2026 Yokohama Port Photogenic Illumination: A Full-Day Course

This is a day to enjoy the light display of the Yokohama Port Photogenic Illumination at 'The Whale's Back,' the rooftop plaza of the Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal at Yokohama Port. It typically runs from early November to the end of February (last year's dates were November 1, 2025 to February 28, 2026), but the schedule for the 2026-27 season has not yet been announced, so please check the official website. In the early afternoon, shop and grab a snack at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, then stroll the port at Zou-no-Hana Park while waiting for dusk, before heading up to the Osanbashi rooftop once the sun sets. Viewing is free, and it's a course perfect for photo-loving families who want to enjoy the Minato Mirai night view and the illumination together. Osanbashi also has parking available. The sea breeze gets cold, so dress warmly.
