2026 Shioiri Station and COASKA Bayside Stores Illumination: A Full-Day Course

This is a day for enjoying the illumination that lights up the plaza in front of Shioiri Station (汐入駅) in Yokosuka and the grounds of COASKA Bayside Stores (コースカベイサイドストアーズ). The lights typically come on from around November (last year they were on from November 2025, with no clear end date recorded); the 2026-27 season's schedule has not yet been announced, so please check the official information. In the early afternoon, enjoy food-stall browsing and shopping on Dobuita Street (どぶ板通り), the birthplace of the sukajan jacket, then take in harbor views at Verny Park (ヴェルニー公園) by the sea, and head to the station area in the evening. Viewing is free, and it is an easy-to-navigate course near the station that pairs well with shopping and dinner at COASKA (business hours 10:00-21:00, varies by store). Nights by the sea get cold, so please dress warmly.
