2026 Wakabadai Illuminations (Christmas Tree & Lighting Ceremony) Full-Day Course

A day to enjoy the Christmas tree and illuminations at the Wakabadai housing complex in Asahi Ward, Yokohama, which typically start with a lighting ceremony in mid-November. Last year the ceremony was held on November 15, 2025 at 5:00 PM (2026 details and end date have not yet been announced; please check officially). In the early afternoon, get plenty of exercise at Wakabadai Park, where adventure playground equipment is set among the trees, then move on to Shopping Town Wakaba for a snack and some shopping. In the evening, head to the venue, Chuo Fureai Plaza, to watch the tree light up as the sun sets. Since it's held right at the heart of the complex, it's easy to enjoy even with small children. Winter evenings get cold, so dress warmly.
