2026 Kanto Gakuin University Yokohama-Kannai Campus Christmas Illumination Full-Day Course

A day combining a stroll through Yokohama's Kannai district with the Christmas illumination at Kanto Gakuin University's Yokohama-Kannai Campus (関東学院大学 横浜・関内キャンパス). The illumination typically runs from early December through December 25; last year it ran from December 2 to December 25, 2025 (the 2026 schedule has not yet been announced, so please check officially). Start in the early afternoon at Yokohama Park (横浜公園) in front of Kannai Station. Stroll through this beloved community park, which has a Japanese garden, then continue on to Nihon Odori (日本大通り), which runs straight from Yokohama Park to the sea. Japan's first Western-style boulevard is lined with about 430 meters of ginkgo trees and historic buildings, and until early December you can still enjoy the last of the autumn foliage. In the evening, head to the campus near Kannai Station to view the lit-up Christmas lights. Winter evenings are cold, so dress warmly.
