2026 Yamato City Nature Observation Center Shirakashi-no-Ie (Izuminomori Park) Full-Day Course

Izuminomori (泉の森) is a nature park spreading around the Yamato water source, the headwaters of the Hikiji River. Its hub facility is the Yamato City Nature Observation Center Shirakashi-no-Ie (しらかしのいえ). It is open 9:00-17:00 and closed on Mondays (the following weekday if the Monday is a national holiday) and over the New Year holidays. It exhibits the river fish and waterside creatures that live in Izuminomori, and stopping by before or after a forest walk greatly deepens your discoveries. In the morning, enjoy a stroll through the adjacent Fureai-no-Mori and around Shirakashi Pond and the watermill hut; in the afternoon, take your time observing the creatures at the center.
