2026 Full-Day Course: Starry Skies at Mitsuishi Coast (三ツ石海岸)
This is a day to enjoy the starry sky spreading over the sea at Mitsuishi Coast (三ツ石海岸), the tip of the Manazuru Peninsula (真鶴半島). The three rocks lined up offshore the cape, called Mitsuishi, are a symbol of Manazuru, and the coast can be visited at any time of day. The nearby parking lots (Lot 1, Lot 2, and Banbaura) are free 24 hours a day, making them reassuring for nighttime stargazing too. In the afternoon, visit Kifune Shrine (貴船神社) near Manazuru Port (真鶴港), then gather information about Manazuru and browse souvenirs at Cape Manazuru (ケープ真鶴, open 10:00-17:00, with occasional closures) at the tip of the peninsula. Once the sun sets, it is finally time to head down to the coast for the climax of stargazing. The cape, surrounded by the sea on three sides, offers a wide-open view, and gazing up at the night sky while listening to the sound of waves is truly special. The path to the coast is dark at night, so please enjoy it with a light and watch your footing.
