2026 Kannonzaki Nature Museum Full-Day Course
A one-day course to savor the sea and nature in full on the Kannonzaki cape jutting into Tokyo Bay. The main stage, Kannonzaki Nature Museum (観音崎自然博物館), is a museum where you can learn about the nature of the Miura Peninsula and Tokyo Bay through hands-on experience. Open 9:00-17:00 (last entry 16:30); admission is 600 yen for adults (16 and over) and 400 yen for elementary and junior high school students. Closed Mondays (the following day when Monday is a holiday), but open every day in July and August. The whole cape is Kenritsu Kannonzaki Park (県立観音崎公園), free to enter, with sandy beaches, rocky shores, and green walking trails. In the morning, walk the park's seaside and climb Kannonzaki Lighthouse (観音埼灯台), Japan's first Western-style lighthouse, for a sweeping panorama of Tokyo Bay. In the afternoon, spend quality time with the tidepool creatures at the museum. Sea breezes, history, and wildlife watching all in one — a do-it-all day that is quintessentially Yokosuka.
