2026 Full-Day Course Enjoying Time at Isehara City Library (伊勢原市立図書館)

In Isehara, a town at the foot of Mount Oyama (大山), this is a day to slowly enjoy a walk through town along with quiet time spent with books. In the morning, walk from Isehara Station (伊勢原駅) to Isehara Daijingu Shrine (伊勢原大神宮), known as the grove where the town's name originated. It is an unusual shrine with two buildings side by side, an inner shrine and an outer shrine, and locals affectionately call it Daijingu-san. The highlight of the afternoon is Isehara City Library (伊勢原市立図書館). Choose picture books and children's books from the children's book corner and spend a quiet time turning the pages together as a family. The library is open from 9:00 to 19:00 Tuesday through Friday, and 9:00 to 17:00 on weekends and holidays; it is closed on Mondays.
