2026 A Full-Day Course with Kawasaki City Nakahara Library
Starting from Musashi-Kosugi (武蔵小杉), this is a day that combines park play with time spent among books. In the morning, take the Tokyu Toyoko Line one stop to Motosumiyoshi (元住吉). Nakahara Peace Park (中原平和公園), a 5-minute walk from the station, has a play plaza lined with a ship-shaped composite play structure and other equipment, a lawn, and a sculpture display plaza; inside the park, the Peace Hall (平和館) also lets you learn about Kawasaki's history. For lunch, head back to Musashi-Kosugi and enjoy the bustle around the station. The afternoon's highlight is Kawasaki City Nakahara Library (川崎市立中原図書館), inside the complex building in front of Musashi-Kosugi Station. In this urban library overlooking the city through its windows, parent and child can browse the picture book and children's book shelves together. Open weekdays 9:30-21:00, weekends and holidays 9:30-17:00. Closed on the third Monday (facility inspection), during special in-library organization periods, and during the New Year holidays (Dec 29-Jan 4). Park greenery and books by the station, enjoy a day that captures the spirit of Musashi-Kosugi.
