Spend a day enjoying full-fledged fruit picking without leaving the city, at FRUIT PARK YOKOHAMA Shibaguchi Orchard in Totsuka Ward, Yokohama. Pears and grapes are typically in season from early August to mid-September, and mandarins and kiwis from mid-October to mid-November, though the season ends as soon as stock runs out (the official website also lists mandarins and kiwis continuing to around late November). The orchard has parking and restrooms, so it's easy to visit with small children. In the morning, enjoy a stroll through the greenery at Matano Villa Garden, also in Totsuka Ward, then head to the orchard in the afternoon.
