2026 Kashiya Pear Orchard (かしや梨園) Fruit-Picking Full-Day Course

This full-day course lets you enjoy urban fruit picking at Kashiya Pear Orchard (かしや梨園) in Nakanoshima (中野島), Tama Ward, Kawasaki City, known as a Tama River pear growing area. Pears and grapes are generally in season from August to mid-September, and persimmons from mid-October to mid-November (as listed by Kawasaki Tourist Farms / かわさき観光農園). The orchard also has parking. Also worth visiting is Ikuta Ryokuchi Park (生田緑地), the green hill that Tama Ward takes pride in. This vast, free-admission park has an observation deck and a science museum, and its shaded trails are pleasant even in summer. Spend the morning playing to your heart's content in the park, then head to the pear orchard in the afternoon, for a course that lets you enjoy seasonal fruit and nature without leaving Kawasaki.
