2026 Full-Day Fruit-Picking Course at Tomochan Farm (ともちゃん農園)
Spend a day picking Yokohama-grown pears at Tomochan Farm (ともちゃん農園) in Kitahassaku-cho, Midori Ward, Yokohama (横浜市緑区北八朔町). In a typical year, Kosui pears are ready from mid to late August, and Hosui pears from early to mid September. Admission is 1,000 yen and includes 1 kg of pears to take home; free for elementary school age and under (per Yokohama City's farm-experience page). Also worth visiting is Shiki no Mori Prefectural Park (県立四季の森公園), in the same Midori Ward. This free, 45-hectare park preserves its satoyama scenery and offers a shallow wading pool, a large slide, and other play spots that families love in summer. Spend the morning at the park and the afternoon at the pear farm, a course for enjoying a Yokohama satoyama summer to the fullest.
