2026 Mitake-en (三岳園) Fruit-Picking Full-Day Course

This is a day of enjoying autumn mandarin picking at Mitake-en (三岳園), a mandarin orchard spread across a hillside in Zenba (善波), Isehara City. Mandarin picking usually runs from mid-October to early December. From the scenic roughly one-hectare orchard, you can take in a sweeping view of Sagami Bay (相模湾), and on a clear autumn day you can enjoy both the harvest and the scenery at once. Business hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm; please check the official website for prices and reservation methods before you go (parking during mandarin-picking season is by reservation only). In the morning, start at the nearest station, Tsurumaki Onsen Station (鶴巻温泉駅), and take a relaxing break with a morning soak at Kobo no Sato-yu (弘法の里湯), a day-trip hot spring right by the station. After lunch, head to the mandarin orchards of Zenba in the afternoon. Wrapped in the scent of hot springs and mandarins, it is a day in the autumn foothills of Tanzawa in Isehara.
