2026 Full-Day Tasting Course at Matsumoto Farm (松本農園)
A day of autumn fruit-picking at Matsumoto Farm (松本農園) in Manazuru Town (真鶴町), proud of its mandarin orchards overlooking Sagami Bay (相模湾). Mandarin-picking typically runs from early October through the end of December (in some years extending into early January of the following year). Admission is 600 yen for adults (junior-high age and up) and 220 yen for children (age 3 through elementary school), and taking fruit home costs 1,150 yen per fill-it-yourself bag (about 4 kg). The orchard is home to roughly 4,000 mandarin trees grown with low pesticide use and ground-cover cultivation. The morning heads to the tip of the Manazuru Peninsula (真鶴半島): take in Mitsuishi Coast (三ツ石海岸) from the sightseeing hub Cape Manazuru (ケープ真鶴), and breathe in the air of Ohayashi (お林), the broadleaf evergreen forest. This course lets you savor the sea, the forest, and the mandarins, the full bounty of Manazuru, in a single day.
