A day of autumn mandarin-picking at Naito-en at Matsuda-yama Mikan no Sato (松田山みかんの里 内藤園), spread across the slopes of Mt. Matsuda (松田山) in Matsuda Town (松田町). In 2026, picking of extra-early-season (gokuwase) mandarins runs from October 10 to November 15, and picking of Aoshima mandarins runs from November 21 to November 29; both periods are open on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays only. Admission is 1,300 yen for adults (junior-high age and up), 1,200 yen for elementary school and kindergarten children, and free for ages 3 and under, and includes unlimited-time all-you-can-eat mandarins plus a 1.5 kg souvenir bag. The all-you-can-eat option alone is 700 yen; the official-site coupon and groups of 30 or more each receive a 100-yen discount. Parking is available. In the morning, head up Mt. Matsuda from Shin-Matsuda Station and enjoy some time at Nishihirabatake Park (西平畑公園, Matsuda-yama Herb Garden), which overlooks Mount Fuji and Sagami Bay. In the afternoon, savor mandarins grown on the sloped orchard in the sea breeze and sunshine to your heart's content. Please check the official website for the latest opening status before you go.
