2026 Full-Day Tasting Course at Kajunomori Fruits Forest (果樹の森 fruits forest)
A day of summer grape-picking at Kajunomori Fruits Forest (果樹の森 fruits forest), a harvest-experience orchard in Otana-cho, Tsuzuki Ward, Yokohama (横浜市都筑区大棚町). Grapes are typically in season from early August to early September, and persimmons from early November (timing varies with the weather). Admission is 300 yen per person, and you pay by weight for what you pick (it is not all-you-can-eat). Grape prices are set per variety: Ryuho (竜宝) 1,440 yen/kg, Fujiminori (藤稔) 1,640 yen/kg, Yuho (雄宝) 1,640 yen/kg, and Shine Muscat (シャインマスカット) 1,800 yen/kg. Parking is available. In the morning, play at Otsuka and Saikachido Ruins Park (大塚・歳勝土遺跡公園), which recreates a Yayoi-period settlement, starting from Center Kita Station (センター北駅) on the Yokohama Municipal Subway. In the afternoon, harvest the grapes you pick out with your own hands. This is a very Yokohama kind of fruit-picking day, letting you touch soil and greenery right in the middle of a new town. Check with the orchard for the latest growing conditions before you go.
