2026 Ishii Citrus Orchard (石井柑橘園) Fruit-Picking Full-Day Course
Spend a day picking mikan (Japanese mandarin oranges) in Isehara City, at the foot of Mount Oyama (大山). Isehara is known for its thriving fruit orchards, especially mikan, and Ishii Citrus Orchard (石井柑橘園), featured in JA Shonan's picking information, usually offers mikan picking from mid-October to early December. In the morning, walk from Isehara Station (伊勢原駅) to Isehara Daijingu (伊勢原大神宮), the shrine that gave the city its name. It's an unusual shrine with two main halls, an Inner and an Outer Shrine, so enjoy a stroll through town along with your visit. In the afternoon, head to the mikan orchard for a family moment picking ripened fruit. Please check the fee and the day's availability in advance before heading out.
