2026: A Full-Day Course of Fruit Picking at Akiyama Hojien (秋山豊治園)
This is a day in Isehara (伊勢原), the town of Oyama pilgrimage (大山詣り), combining a walk along the approach path with mikan picking. Akiyama Hojien (秋山豊治園) is a tourist mikan orchard featured in JA Shonan's fruit-picking information, with a season usually running from mid-October to early December. Its official website offers both mikan picking and all-you-can-eat mikan. In the morning, head to the foot of Mount Oyama (大山). Koma Sando (こま参道), a roughly 700-meter, 362-step approach lined with tofu restaurants and souvenir shops, is enjoyable to walk just for its retro Showa-era atmosphere, and you can also extend your trip to Afuri Jinja Shrine (阿夫利神社) via the Oyama Cable Car (大山ケーブルカー) (470 yen one-way for adults, 240 yen for children). In the afternoon, move to the mikan orchard for a family moment of picking autumn's harvest. Please check with the orchard in advance about acceptance status and fees on the day.
